LOVE is in the air this weekend, and whether you're spending the day with your other half or celebrating Galentine's with your girls, we have a list of five Valentine's Day themed events taking place across the weekend.
This weekend's events include a Galentine's Day meditation retreat, the opening of a new exhibition at the Uilinn Arts Centre, a Valentine's themed over 30s club night, comedian Sinéad Quinlan at Debarras and a selection of romantic movies in the cinema.

Galentine's Day Mini Retreat- Saturday February 14th
Focusing on self-love this Valentine's Day? This mini retreat in Clonakilty will help you relax.

Persistence of Trace Exhibition - Opens Saturday February 14th
If the world of art and culture is your scene this Valentine's Day, The Uilinn West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen will open a new exhibition on Saturday.
Persistence of Trace is a multimedia exhibition featuring four Munster-based artists exploring identity and other intersecting concerns – memory, time and representation.
The exhibiton opens at 2pm and entry is free.
Flash Dance Over 30s Club Valentine's Edition - Saturday February 14th
Get ready to dance the night away in Connolly's of Leap this Valentine's Day. BMG Sound is back with a full video DJ set, spinning the best of the 80s, 90s & more – sound and vision together, built for the dancefloor.

Sinéad Quinlan: The Cultured Culchie- Saturday February 14th
If you're looking for a laugh this weekend, Sinéad Quinlan brings her debut solo comedy show to Debarra's in Clonakilty this Saturday. This hilarious set see Sinéad reckon with rural identity, heartbreak, and the long, bumpy road to finding yourself
Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm showtime.

Head to the cinema to watch a romantic flick
West Cork is so lucky to be home to two fantastic cinemas, and there's no better time to head to the big screen then on Valentine's weekend.
Emerald Fennel's highly anticipated Wurthering Heights adaptation comes to Irish cinemas on Friday February 13th, and its sure to be a steamy watch.
Other romantic films showing across the weekend include Hamnet and The History of Sound. Both films star fan favourite Paul Mescal.
Both Cinemax Bantry and the Clonakilty Park Cinema are screening a range of fantastic films.
