KINSALE native Aislinn O’Shea has been promoted to partner at Mason Hayes & Curran, Ireland’s largest dedicated healthcare legal practice.

Aislinn, who now lives in Lissarda near Macroom, joined the firm as an Aasociate in 2019. Before working with Mason Hayes & Curran, she trained and worked as a solicitor at Doyle Solicitors, a boutique medical negligence firm in Cork.

She attended Scoil Bhríde primary school in Crossmahon, Bandon and Ursuline Secondary School in Thurles. She went on to study clinical law at University College Cork. Aislinn is a former rower and rowed with Kilmacsimon Rowing Club and Cork Boat Club.

Her appointment adds further senior expertise to Ireland’s largest dedicated healthcare legal practice. The team advises clients across healthcare delivery and clinical trials, as well as medical devices, pharma and healthtech.

Aislinn advises a broad range of clients from hospitals and healthcare organisations to insurers and medical professionals across a wide range of cases. She specialises in medical negligence claims, in particular claims involving complex catastrophic injuries.

Aislinn also advises clients across the healthcare sector on regulatory matters and litigation risk. Her work extends to specialist corporate advisory and due diligence during mergers, acquisitions and set up. She has expertise in medico-legal and healthcare governance matters including consent, ethics, patient complaints and data protection.
