GARDAÍ attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing at Bridge Street in Skibbereen at around 11.50pm on Saturday.

The pedestrian, a male in his 50s, was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, a female in her 60s, was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said 'investigations are ongoing.'
