PAUL Harrington brings his show The Lyric’s The Thing ‘live’ to Cork Opera House for the first time on April 8th.
Based on the weekly radio series on Newstalk’s Pat Kenny Show – when Eurovision winner Paul explores the lyrics of a classic song follow by a performance – it captures the essence of the radio slot, choosing some of the best songs from recent years, and in doing so Paul has created an evening of live performances, while exploring the stories behind some of the most popular songs in music history.
Although Paul has appeared many times at Cork Opera House as a guest, this will be his first time to present a full solo show there.

In saying solo, he is in fact joined on stage by Grammy-nominated music producer and his great friend Graham Murphy, who has been an integral part of both the radio presentation and the live shows since it’s in inception.
Joining Paul on stage for the evening is legendary guitarist and producer Bill Shanley from Clonakilty.
Bill and Paul have been friends for the best part of 40 years and Paul has spent many great evenings playing with Bill in Shanley’s of Clonakilty.
The show starts at 8pm.
