In The Southern Star edition date February 7^th 2026 we reported on the case of Martin O’Driscoll, of Ballyinchy, Baltimore, who was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol and disqualified from driving for three years.

His case was heard at Skibbereen District Court where it was reported in court that Mr O’Driscoll worked for Cape Clear Ferries.

We have since been made aware that this is not the case; that Mr O’Driscoll does not, nor has he ever worked for Cape Clear Ferries.

We are happy to clarify this.
