VITTOR Coutinho’s hat-trick helped the West Cork Academy get off to a winning start in the 2025/26 SFAI National U15 Schoolboys Inter-League.

West Cork earned a valuable three points from their Group C opener following a high scoring encounter with North Tipperary.

Drawn alongside Cork, Kerry, Limerick District and North Tipp, West Cork went top of the table following a 6-4 success over the latter.

Dunmanway Town’s Vittor Coutinho had an afternoon to remember, netting a hat-trick for the winners.

Castlelack’s Jack Allen weighed in with two additional strikes and Bunratty United’s James Goggin’s also got on the scoresheet to complete a fine afternoon’s work.

Six West Cork players made their U15 Inter-League debuts with Adam Whelton, James Goggin, Marcus Moynihan, Max O’Reilly (Bunratty United), Dylan O’Shea (Riverside Athletic) and Henrikas Dabrys (Beara United) all impressing against North Tipp.

Elsewhere in the group, Kerry edged Cork 1-0. Next up for the West Cork Academy U15s is a derby away to Cork on the same weekend (December 6th/7th) Limerick District travel to North Tipperary.

West Cork remain in second place in Group A of SFAI National U14 Schoolboys Inter-League despite a recent defeat away to Kerry.

The latter are top of the table on maximum points from their two outings. West Cork lie second on three points following their 3-1 win over Limerick County. Limerick County lie in fourth and are yet to pick up a point.

Next up, West Cork host third placed Limerick Desmond on the weekend of December 6th/7th.

West Cork’s U16 Schoolboys will begin their SFAI National Inter-League season away to Limerick District before hosting Cork in the final fixture of a three-team group. The latter overcame Limerick District 2-1 in the Group A opener.

Handed the toughest of draws, the Academy’s U13s continue to improve despite losing to Limerick Desmond last time out.

A trip to Cork United on December 6th/7th will bring the curtain down on the SFAI National U13 Schoolboys Inter-League Group B phase with Cork seeking a third consecutive win.

West Cork A will conclude their SFAI National U12 Schoolboys Inter-League Group A fixtures away to Limerick County Whites on the first weekend in December. West Cork U12 B are also on their travels, away to Limerick County Greens on the same dates.
