CASTLELACK, Lyre Rovers and Beara United were amongst the winners in the latest round of SuperValu West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls U12 Schoolgirls games.

Castlelack maintained top spot in the U12 Schoolgirls Premier League courtesy of a narrow victory at Dunmanway Town. Isabella Santos netted the only goal of a tight game to keep the Brinny club two points clear of the chasing pack.

In the same division, Eadaoin Collins’ solitary strike earned Lyre Rovers a 1-0 victory away to Sullane.

Last Sunday’s U12 Schoolgirls Premier Trophy quarter-final between Castlelack and Beara United saw the Castletownbere club emerge 3-2 winners. Isabella Santos and Molly O’Callaghan scored for Castlelack but Lizzie O’Shea (2) and Aoibhinn O’Sullivan efforts sent Bear into the last four.

Dunmanway Town hosted Bay Rovers in Group A of the U14 Schoolgirls Premier League. An early Faye Barry strike handed Town a 1-0 lead. Keira Kelly’s second-half strike wrapped up all three points.

Ardfield Mountaineers and Drinagh Dynamos drew a blank in their U12 Schoolboys Premier League meeting at the Showgrounds. A tight game finished 0-0 and denied Ardfield the chance to move within a point of leaders Castlelack Athletic.

Clonakilty AFC City are up to second in the U12 Schoolboys Championship thanks to a 6-0 success at Bunratty United. Aaron Nash (2), Luca O’Donovan, Ciarán Wilcox, Max O’Keefe, and Michael Harrington were on target for the Ballyvackey club.

A 3-0 victory away to Skibbereen Dynamos means Dunmanway Town are the new U13 Schoolboys Premier League leaders.

Ryan Crowley netted twice and Jai Hurley was also on Town’ scoresheet in a result that moved the winners a point clear of Ardfield ahead of their crucial midweek title showdown.

Josh Quinn (2) and Liam Verline were amongst the goals as Castlelack defeated Bay Rovers 7-1 in the U13 Schoolboys Championship. Tadhg Harrington was Lyre’s lone scorer.

Bay Rovers moved within three points of U14 Schoolboys Premier League leaders Castlelack following a comprehensive win over Lyre Rovers. Eoghan Hickey scored six times with Fionn Wiseman and Eoin McCarthy also on target. Michael Ryan, Dara Ryan and Isaac McInerney replied for Lyre.

U15 Schoolboys Group A winners Castlelack travelled to Ballyvackey and came away with all three points following a 5-1 defeat of Clonakilty AFC. Tadhg O’Brien netted for the hosts but a Jack Allen hat-trick along with Andrew Langford and Conor Murphy efforts cemented Celtic’s latest success.

Dunmanway Town received a walkover from Drinagh Rangers in Group A of the U16 Schoolboys Premier League. Town travelled to Castlelack for the group’s concluding fixture last Sunday and ran out deserving 4-1 winners. Alex Bramoulle (2) and Oisin O’Regan goals handed Town a 3-0 interval lead. O’Regan added a fourth to seal a 4-1 victory. Daniel Kiely replied for the Brinny club.
