CHRISTINA Desmond has had a great start to life as a professional boxer, taking her record to 5-0 after an impressive second-round stoppage win in her latest bout.

Up against English fighter Sherie Barnes in a welterweight contest scheduled for eight rounds in Alicante, Desmond showed her class with an early finish.
