DANIEL Twomey is the new manager of Newcestown’s senior hurling team.
He takes over from Niall O’Sullivan who stepped down after one season at the helm of Carbery’s only premier senior hurling team.
Twomey’s backroom team for 2026 includes Conor O’Donovan and Rick Bradfield in as selectors, and Wayne Power as coach.

The West Cork club has been drawn in the ‘Group of Death’ in the 2026 Premier Senior Hurling Championship, alongside St Finbarr’s, Midleton and Bride Rovers. Newcestown did draw against Midleton in last season’s championship and beat Newtownshandrum so they have shown their quality at the top tier of Cork hurling.
