There were semi-final wins for both Bandon and Ibane Gaels on Saturday

BANDON and Ibane Gaels will meet in the South West U21B football championship final.

Bandon, who regraded from ‘A’ this season, were too strong for Clann na nGael in their semi-final on Saturday, as they won 1-15 to 2-4. Despite the concession of two first-half goals, Bandon impressed as they led 1-7 to 2-2 at the interval and they kicked on in the second half, as the Scorchers failed to score in a 34-minute period.

Adam Murphy scored 1-5 for the winners, Mark O’Regan added 0-4 (3f) and Paul Lang chipped in with 0-3 as they powered past the finishing line to setup a final with Ibane Gaels, who defeated Kilmacabea in their semi-final on Saturday, 0-10 to 0-8. The scores were tied at the break, 0-5 apiece, but Ibane kicked on in the second half and scored two late points, through David Kiely and Jack Cahalane, to win.
