THE fascinating newspaper exhibition about the life and times of Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa at The Southern Star building in Ilen Street, Skibbereen, has been extended – by public demand – for another few days.
Rossa, the well-known Fenian patriot, who died in New York in 1915, was a larger-than-life controversial figure who made headlines not just in Ireland, but internationally also and the evidence of this is there to see in this absorbing exhibition, which is part of the commemorative events to mark the centenary of his death.
Admission is free.
The exhibition will continue on:
Friday, July 17th – 3 to 8pm
Saturday 18th – 11am to 4pm
(Closed on Sunday 19th)
Monday 20th – 2 to 5pm
Tuesday 21st – 2 to 5pm
