Festival chair Helen Collins said the festival has grown over the years, and it is a true  celebration of all the magic ingredients of West Cork, including the landscape, the superb food and seafood, the fascinating islands, the wonderful art and craft ‘and of course – the people!’

‘This year we are delighted to welcome 18 guest chefs to West Cork who will be cooking in restaurants and doing cookery demonstrations across the ten days of the festival,’ she added. ‘We are thrilled to have renowned chef and restaurateur Derry Clarke as guest speaker during the launch, which everyone is welcome to attend.’

A copy of the full festival programme will be in the edition of the Southern Star which goes on sale on Thursday, September 1st.
