Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Cork, with heavy rain expected from Saturday morning to Sunday evening.

The warning comes into effect from 9am on Saturday morning and remains in place until 9pm on Sunday.

Met Éireann have warned of persistent rain, turning heavy at times across the Cork and Kerry region.

The conditions could lead to localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions, while outdoor events could also be affected.
