Road closures near Coppeen for cattle underpass installation

CORK County Council is closing a number of roads near Coppeen for a week at the end of August to facilitate the installation of a cattle underpass.

Cork County Council has announced the temporary closing to public traffic on the following roads for the dates and for the times stated to install a cattle underpass:-

TRC-98-S-18 L-8516 Lisnacuddy to Coppeen Road Terelton From 8am Monday 27th August 2018 to 4pm Friday 31th August 2018 (24 hour closure).

The roads to be closed are: Lisnacuddy, Terelton to Slieveowen, Coppeen (L-8516) Alternative Route: From Terelton, Lisnacuddy (L8515) & Knockane (L8513) go south to Reanacaheragh (L8515) at Moneygaff East turn right on to (L8517) towards Slieveowen. Same route in reverse from Slieveowen.

Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Thursday 9th August 2018.

Meanwhile, Cork County Council has also issued this release about a temporary closure of a road in Beal na Blath due to resurfacing, later this month: Ref: TRC-85-S-18 Road Resurfacing Works – R585 Beal Na Blath From Monday 13th August 2018 to Friday 24th August 2018 (08.00hrs to 20.00hrs - Daily Closure)

Road to be closed: R 585 Beal na Blath to Poulanargid Cross Road Number: R-585 A

lternative Route: Eastbound Traffic: At the junction of the R-585 and R-587 at Gloun, follow the R-587 towards Kilmichael.Travel through Dromcarra and onto Toons Bridge where traffic will join the R-584.  Follow the R-584 towards the junction with the N22 at Hartnetts Cross. Follow the N22 East through Lissarda.  

At the junction of the N22 and the R-590, take the R-590 for Crookstown. The same route applies in the reverse for west bound traffic.

This closure is to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.
