Gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 30s in connection with the theft of 30 cattle from a farm in the Lakelands area of Skibbereen.
The livestock, worth an estimated €30,000, were taken overnight on Monday November 24th.
On Monday gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit in Clonakilty, Bandon and Bantry, supported by the Divisional Search Team and the Department of Agriculture, conducted a search operation in the Ballydehob area of West Cork.

A garda spokesman said: 'As a result of the searches, the 18 cattle have been found, identified and returned to the owner.
'Enquiries are ongoing at this time with the assistance of the Department of Agriculture
'A male in his 30s was arrested and conveyed to a garda station in county Cork. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.'
