Man arrested after suspected cocaine and heroin seized at railway station

GARDAÍ arrested a man in his 30s and seized approximately €107,000 worth of suspected cocaine and heroin at the railway station in Cork yesterday evening.

GARDAÍ arrested a man in his 30s and seized approximately €107,000 worth of suspected cocaine and heroin at Kent Railway Station in Cork city yesterday evening.

As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in Mayfield, gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit stopped and searched a man.

During the course of the search, €105,000 worth of heroin and €2,000 worth of cocaine was seized.

The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and brought to Mayfield Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
