Line-up is looking tasty for Macroom food fest

PREPARATIONS are in full swing ahead of the seventh annual Macroom Food Festival which takes place over four days from September 20th-23rd. 

The much-loved Vintage Tea Dance will kick-start the weekend in style while Kids Zone, a firm favourite, will return on Saturday morning. Crystal Swing will be performing live on the Main Square on Saturday night and Sunday will feature the Monster Outdoor Food Market. 

This year will also bring the introduction of an elegant Masquerade evening  at the Riverside Park Hotel featuring a glamorous evening of masks, music and of course delicious food put together by local chefs while much loved events such as the Taste Trail and the International Food Flavours return. 

The festival will close with a massive festival finale party at the Castle Hotel. 

Now in its sevnth year, the festival has become a firm favourite and in the past number of years has drawn crowds of over 10,000. The organising committee is hard at work putting together a programme which organisers hope will please foodies, families and music lovers alike, while showcasing the best produce the area has to offer.
