THE world’s largest privately-owned cruise liner will be docking in Cobh on May 6th. 

MSC Meraviglia has been named Cruise Critic’s ‘Best New Ship’ in UK and Ireland, and will be the largest cruise ship ever to visit Ireland. 

At 171,598 GRT, 315m long and 65m tall, the MSC Meraviglia can host 5,700 guests across an impressive 19 decks. 

Features include 12 distinct dining venues, a Mediterranean-style promenade featuring multiple bars, restaurants and shops, the longest LED Sky Screen at sea; and world-class entertainment with Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows. 

It will arrive in Dublin from Glasgow on May 5th, before continuing her route through Cork, arriving at 8am and departing for Southampton at 6pm, finally returning to her home port of Hamburg.

Under an ambitious industry-unprecedented €10.5bn investment plan, the MSC cruise fleet is set to expand to 24 mega cruise ships by 2026.
