ACCLAIMED artists Brian Lalor, his daughter Ayelet, and her sister Eve, will be hosting a family exhibition that opens on Friday June 5th at the Blue House Gallery in Schull.

What's rare is wonderful and this eclectic exhibition certainly has it all from ceramic and mixed-media sculpture to hand-painted thrown objects and printmaking.

Brian, who lives at Rossard in Ballydehob, has variously been an author, an art history lecturer, curator, gallery director and collector of historic fine-art prints.

A major retrospective of his work over a half-century was presented by the Uillinn – West Cork Arts Centre in 2024.

Brian's lifelong dedication and contribution to Ireland’s cultural heritage can also be found in his writings, including his books about Dublin and the Encyclopaedia of Ireland.

Ayelet is a figurative artist and sculptor, primarily concerned with expressing the female form and working across a variety of mediums.

Her award-winning sculptures range in scale and medium, from small ceramic figures to large outdoor sculptures, as well as small paintings and print-making.

Eve Lalor not only worked as an arts administrator for the Dublin Theatre Festival, she also worked with Dublin Dance Festival. Over the years, she found an outlet for her artistic talent while working beside Ayelet in her studio.

Eve's ceramic pots are attracting considerable interest because many are in the style of ancient pots, and are very collectable. All three artists say they are looking forward to the official opening. All are welcome to attend.
