A BADLY-NEEDED facility for a West Cork secondary school has been cleared to the next stage of delivery, writes Sally Collins.
The new technology room project for Sacred Heart Secondary School in Clonakilty has now been approved to proceed to construction.
Senator Noel O’Donovan (FG) said the new facility would make a major difference for students and staff alike. ‘When I visited the school last year, it was very clear just how important a modern technology room was for students and for the delivery of practical subjects.

‘This investment will provide students with a far better learning environment and
ensure the school has facilities that meet modern educational needs.’
Sen O’Donovan also paid tribute to the school staff and board of management for their continued commitment in progressing the project.
‘Huge credit is due to the staff and Board for their hard work and persistence in keeping this project moving forward.’
