Wednesday February 14th is National No Smoking Day.

HSE South West is offering free support and medication to anyone hoping to quit the habit for good. The services include one-to-one advices and provide free Nicotine Replacement Therapies in the form of sprays, mists, lozenges and patches.

HSE South West Tobacco Lead, Anna Burns, said, ‘Most smokers want to quit – for their health, their family, and their wallet! But overcoming a smoking addiction isn’t easy, so don’t go it alone.’

She highlighted that smokers are four times more likely to quit with the support of trained Stop Smoking advisors and the free medications available through HSE South West.

‘Lean on the supports that are available to you and this time, you will succeed. We are here to help,’ she concluded.
