CORK County Council has opened applications for artists to exhibit their work at the LHQ Gallery. The Library and Arts Service is inviting professional artists, curators, community groups, and arts organisations to submit proposals for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 Visual Art Exhibition Programme.
The LHQ Gallery is in the County Library Headquarters building next to County Hall and curates a year-round artistic programme of free, accessible events. Recent exhibitions that have been programmed from open calls include solo shows by artists Peter Nash and Brian Lalor, as well as the current group show by Crawford Supported Studio members. The exhibition presents work by artists, at all stages of their careers, in the form of installations, paintings, printmaking, photography, video, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, metalworks and textiles.
Applications can be made online up to 5pm on Friday, 5th June 2026. Artists working in any visual art or craft practice are welcome to apply. Proposals for solo, two person, or group shows are also welcome.
