Cork County Council have been allocated €200,000 to repair the bridge at Ballyhadown near Caheragh.
The bridge, which serves as an important route for locals, was badly damaged during flooding last year.
The government allocated the money to Cork County Council at the end of last month.

Welcoming the announcement, Minister for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity Christopher O'Sullivan (FF) said: 'I visited the road after the floods last year to highlight the route’s importance and the urgent need to see it fixed.'
'It's such an important route for locals, and I was delighted to work with Cllr George Gill (FF) of Bantry LEA to make sure it was prioritised.'
