A YOUNG entrepreneur from Glengarriff is among those hoping to become Alan Sugar’s apprentice on the new series of the BBC reality show.
Conor Galvin (30), owner of Press Print Paper, will become the first Cork contestant ever on the long-running show which sees the winner secure a £250,000 investment with the business mogul.
Conor confirmed earlier this week that he is one of this year’s 20 contestants and if successful is hoping to expand Press Print Paper across both Ireland and the UK.

‘The competition is stiff!,’ he shared on social media.
‘I’m up against 19 other ambitious candidates but only one can take the title as the winner of Season 20 of The Apprentice.’
He teased followers wondering will he ‘bring the competition to life?’ or will he be ‘humbled in the boardroom’?
The UCD graduate has carved out a successful business with Press Print Paper which turns special moments into a vintage-style newspaper.
The nostalgia products have proven popular at weddings and corporate events. He has worked with AIB, PayPal and TikTok and has expanded his idea to include comics and art deco.
Conor previously opened up about his battles with depression and spoke to The Southern Star in 2018 about his mental health.
Meanwhile, Angela Scanlon is set to host the new spin-off ‘The Apprentice: Unfinished Business’, where she will meet with the fired candidate each week and reveal behind-the-scenes secrets. The first episode of the new series airs on BBC One on Thursday January 29th at 9pm.
