The celebration of cinema, which takes place in the coastal village which doesn’t even have a movie theatre, attracts a unique mix of Hollywood stars with screenings, panels, and special guest events.
Last year’s event featured among others Bill Pullman, Barry Keoghan and Domhnall Gleeson, along with acclaimed director Lenny Abrahamson and Nicola Coughlan, the star of Derry Girls and Bridgerton.
Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan, who has a house nearby in Ballydehob, have also been regular visitors to the festival over the years.
A new feature of this year’s event will see all competition short films selected and screened at the festival receive a screening fee.
