IT was the end of an era last Friday week as Kinsale Post Office closed its doors at its location on Pearse Street after serving the postal needs of the local community for over a century.

It also marked the retirement of postmaster John Hanley and he is wished well for his retirement.

The post office has moved down the street and has opened in its new location at the Centra.
