FIVE Durrus teenagers will feature on RTÉ's Prime Time tonight in a special report on a social media experiment.
As more and more countries consider banning under 16s from social media, Prime Time will be putting Australia’s ban to the test.
The five teenagers, aged 13–16, deleted 10 major platforms from their phones for a full week during mid-term and school days.

These apps included TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Kik, Threads, X and Reddit.
The report examines how central these platforms are to teenagers’ daily lives and what happens when the scroll stops.
It also hears directly from the teenagers about proposed social media age restrictions.
