THIS year’s Skibbereen Credit Union schools’ quiz was another great success.
Held in the Sports Hall of Skibbereen Community School, the quiz tests brain power and allows for friendly competition at all stages.
The quiz comprises three stages: Stage 1 takes place at local level; Stage 2 is chapter level in Cork city, and Stage 3 is the national final held in Dublin’s RDS.
Congratulations to all the children who took part and to all their teachers and parents for all the work that went into the preparation.
The winning teams were as follows – U13s 1st – St Joseph’s National School, Skibbereen; U13s 2nd – Scoil Naomh Bhríde, Union Hall.
U11s 1st – Scoil Mhuire National School, Schull; U11s 2nd – Kilcoe National School, Kilcoe.
The next phase of this very popular annual competition will be held in early March in Cork city.
