A man in his 30s is due to appear before Macroom District Court this morning in connection with investigations into the theft of 18 cattle from a Skibbereen farm.
The charge follows a Garda search operation conducted on Monday (December 8th).
Officers from the Serious Crime Units in Clonakilty, Bandon and Bantry, carried out the search with assistance from the Divisional Search Team and the Department of Agriculture.

During the operation in the Ballydehob area, the 18 stolen cattle were located, identified, and returned to their owner.
Gardaí confirmed that investigations were continuing.
The livestock, valued at around 30,000 were taken overnight on Monday, November 24th from a farm in the Lakelands area of Skibbereen.
