THE horticultural student group at National Learning Network Bantry is proud to announce the launch of a charity calendar created in support of Bantry Hospice.
Printed on 100% recycled paper, the calendar features stunning photos of the unique plant life of the Bantry Bay area.
Each month showcases a different plant that grows in the region curated by the students themselves. The project combines creativity, environmental awareness and community spirit – core values shared by both The National Learning Network and Bantry Hospice.

Bursting with colour, community spirit and a touch of festive cheer, each month showcases stunning flowers, bulbs, and shrubs of West Cork gardens, woodlands and coastline.
‘The calendar not only highlights the incredible bio-diversity of our local landscape but also supports a vital community service that touches so many lives in West Cork’ say the students. ‘The calendar will make a thoughtful stocking filler and is a beautiful way to support your community this Christmas.’
All proceeds from the calendar will go directly to Bantry Hospice, helping to provide compassionate care and support for patients and their families across the region.
‘We are thrilled to see local students combining their horticultural skills and creativity to support Bantry Hospice. This project truly reflects the spirit of community and care that defines Bantry’ said Gearoid O’Leary, representative of Bantry Hospice.
The calendar will be available to purchase from local retail outlets including SuperValu, The Craft Shop, Centra Ballylickey, Bantry Bookshop, Organico and directly through the National Learning Network, Bantry.
The calendar would not have been possible without the support of local business who sponsored it and thanks was expressed to Bantry Recycling, Bantry Hire & Sales, Fruit Hill Farm, Murphy and O’Connor and The Southern Star.
