Facilitated by KWD recycling, who operate throughout Kerry and West Cork, the event has grown in popularity in recent years with community groups and individuals all turning out in force to lend a hand.
Model and National Spring Clean ambassador Sarah McGovern was in Skibbereen recently to launch next week’s event.
David Sheehan, KWD area rep, thanked the many groups throughout the area who have registered, for their support. He supplies them with bags and high-vis vests and also organises for the litter to be removed afterwards.
