Known as the ‘island of the arts’ Sherkin Island is home to visual artists, photographers, writers and musicians.

There will be stalls selling island arts and crafts, including local art prints and cards, hand knits, crocheted shawls, scarves and baby blankets, handmade Christmas decorations, dolls and home-made seasonal treats.

The Sherkin Island Ceramics Group will have a range of their popular ceramics available such as their wonderful sea creatures and festive seabirds.

There will be delicious pizzas available in the hall from Sherkin North Shore, and a selection of warm Christmas-themed, non-alcoholic drinks will be served.

The organiser behind the festive event, Sherkin Island artist, Jordyn Lynch said: ‘Last year, people came from far and wide. There was such a festive atmosphere in the hall and people really appreciated the effort made by our small island community. The Jolly Roger Pub will be open for lunch or a pint on your way back to the ferry, and if anyone would like to stay-over, accommodation is available at Sherkin North Shore.  We look forward to welcoming visitors to what promises to be a happy and festive occasion full of the spirit of Christmas and creativity.’
