The overall winner of the Reader’s Picture of the Week 2025 is this stunning shot of cattle on Mount Gabriel at sunrise, taken by Gráinne Wilson of Schull.

The 12  top photographs went to public vote in December, with Gráinne’s picture  emerging as the clear favourite with Southern Star readers.

The names of those who voted went into a draw for a €100 voucher, which was won by Ella O’Gorman from Clonakilty. Congratulations to Ella and thanks to all contributors to the ever-popular Reader’s Picture of the Week during 2025 - long may it continue in 2026 and beyond.
