Caoimhe Brosnan (14) from Dunmanway enjoys an eclectic taste in music - a little bit different from the usual fare for teenagers today. She chatted to The Southern Star all about her top tunes.

What song have you been listening to on repeat lately? Recently I’ve been loving Bruce Springsteen’s live tracks but my favourite would have to be ‘If I Should I fall Behind - Live in New York City’. It feels so much more emotional than the studio version.

What genre of music is your favourite? My favourite genre of music is definitely a mix between indie and classic rock.

Who’s your top artist or band of all time? My top artist of all time will always be David Bowie. I really appreciate how unique and different every album is.

What are your top three songs of all time? After watching the movie A Complete Unknown I started to really enjoy Bob Dylan and since then I’ve been loving ‘Don’t Think Twice It’s All Right’,  ‘Right Down the Line by Gerry Rafferty’ is definitely in my top three songs because it reminds so much of summer and going to the beach with my friends. Lastly, ‘Seventeen Going Under’ by Sam Fender, I think this is a great song particularly for my age group as it highlights the struggles of being a teenager.

If you could see any person/ band perform, dead or alive, who would it be? To see the Foo Fighters live would be such an experience. The way Dave Grohl gives a nod to his early Nirvana years would be incredible.

Do you listen on vinyl, CDs, or streaming? I primarily listen to my music on vinyl as the sound is more authentic.

What song would you like played at your funeral? At my funeral I would like ‘Golden Slumbers’ by the Beatles played. This song describes sleep in its purest form which it essentially what death is.
