As the country winds down from a busy St Patrick's weekend, West Cork still has a fantastic offering of events for you to choose from this weekend.

This weekend's events include Daffodil Day fundraisers, a jersey day, a Joni Mitchell tribute act, Tony Cantwell's comedy show and an afternoon of ancient storytelling.

Daffodil Day - Friday March 20th

Every year on Daffodil Day, Ireland turns yellow as people stand together against cancer – to bring hope, provide support and drive progress.

Various events across the county have been organised to support the Irish Cancer Society, including a community walk in Bandon, an appearance from Majella O'Donnell in Clonakilty and a coffee morning in Timoleague.

Jersey Day for Féile - Friday March 20th

More than 100 schools across Cork and Kerry have pledged to bring colour to the classroom this Friday as part of the ‘Stand 4 Féíle’ Jersey Day.

The event is being co-ordinated by a voluntary group of former Cork and Kerry GAA players, and the call to action invites students, teachers, staff, and the wider community to wear their favourite jersey and make a small donation to support the ‘Stand 4 Féile’ fundraising initiative.
