Saidbh O’Driscoll is wished the best of luck as she prepares to compete at the CLRG World Irish dancing championships in Chicago. Saidbh will be representing her school Scoil Rince Carney and West Cork in the prestigious event with over 100 girls in her competition. Thanks was expressed to everyone who attended the coffee mornings in Tragumna and Bantry earlier in the year and to all the businesses who donated and helped make them such a great success.
The Togher Harriers held a charity fundraiser in Belgooly at the end of January and raised a sum of €2,000 which they donated to the Ballinhassig Village Association. Thanks was expressed to everyone who travelled to support the event, the landowners for their kind permission and the publicans for their hospitality.
Knockskeagh National School celebrated a wonderful day of reading and imagination for World Book Day. Children in every class were invited to dress as their favourite book characters, bringing lots of fun and creativity to the day. Senior classes also enjoyed spending time with younger classes for shared reading, creating lovely opportunities to read together and share a love of books.

People at Coppeen St Patrick's Day parade were almost brought to their knees by the appearance of a group of nuns in their midst! Calling themselves 'Borderline Saints' they went on to perform a not-so-divine set of songs and music which greatly impressed the assembled masses.
