STAFF at The Maritime Hotel in Bantry who go above and beyond the call of duty were rewarded for their efforts at a gala employee event in Killarney.

The awards ceremony recognised outstanding employees from The Gleneagle Hotel, The Maritime Hotel and Gleneagle Group shared services, acknowledging individuals who go above and beyond in their roles.

Gleneagle CEO Patrick O’Donoghue said: ‘2025 has been another strong and progressive year for our business, with record guest numbers, continued investment across our properties, and real progress in our people, sustainability and community initiatives.

At The Maritime Hotel, Pauline Murray was named Employee of the Year. Ales Vanek received the Best New Starter award, while Richard Garcia was presented with the Leadership Award.

Kate Wills was recognised for Excellence in Customer Service, and Brian Crowley was celebrated as World’s Best Colleague.

Ewa Kawik received the Manager of the Year award, while Ben Horgan was named Assistant Manager/Supervisor of the Year.

The annual Employee Awards celebrate the people behind the Gleneagle Group’s success, recognising the passion, pride and care shown by employees who deliver memorable experiences for guests and support one another across the organisation.
