SPECSAVERS Bandon recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating 15 years of dedicated eye and hearing care in the local community.

The family-owned business has not only grown its services but also fostered remarkable team development and commitment to the community.

Marie Burke, director, said: ‘We are very grateful to the Bandon community for their loyalty and trust. Our journey has been one of continuous growth, both in the services we offer and the development of our amazing team.’

The store’s dedication to its staff is evident in remarkable career progressions.

Katie Morrisey, who started as an Optical Assistant 11 years ago, progressed to become partner last year.

Another inspiring example is Kinga, who progressed from optical assistant to a qualified dispensing optician while studying at night and in her spare time, all while raising two young children.

Specsavers Bandon began with just five staff members in 2011 and has a robust team of 18 today.

The store’s facilities have evolved from just one test room to three and audiology services were introduced over ten years ago.

The store works closely with the Hope Foundation, with Katie having travelled to India on three occasions and Africa twice.

Specsavers Bandon also proudly sponsors ‘Make your Mark on Cancer’ in aid of the Mercy Hospital.

Over the years, the store has supported numerous local events, including the Bandon Show and The Innishannon Steam Rally.
