NETWORK Ireland West Cork marked the end of an exceptional year at an event hosted by outgoing President Anna Healy, who will formally pass the chain of office to vice president Anna Groniecka next month.

The event, held at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, brought members together for an inspiring evening focused on elevating influence through networking.

Anna reflected on what has been one of the branch’s most successful years to date.

The West Cork branch delivered an impressive 18 events - ranging from wellness workshops and social media training to a creative play session and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of West Cork’s emerging film industry.

Throughout the year, the branch collaborated with organisations including Clonakilty FET, Bandon Business Association, LEO Cork North & West, and AIB, introducing coffee mornings for its 60-plus members.

A highlight of the year was the branch’s strong participation in the Network Ireland West Cork Businesswoman of the Year Awards, with 21 applications, six branch winners, and one national win, when member Carly O’Donovan of Bluebird Care Kerry & West Cork took home the Established Business Award.

Outgoing president Anna Healy said: ‘This year proved that when we prioritise authentic connection, our community flourishes. I am so proud of what we created together - opportunities for women to learn, grow, and support each other in business and in life.

‘As we look toward 2026 let’s continue to challenge ourselves to reach out, share genuinely, and support those around us. Meaningful connections aren’t just about what we gain, it’s what we give back.’

Reflecting on her decade-long journey with NIWC, Anna shared a personal story of once dreading networking before discovering the deep friendships and professional growth it can foster.

‘I love people, and I believe that a rising tide lifts all boats,’ she said, highlighting NIWC’s welcoming, supportive culture.
