SINGER-songwriter Lewis Barfoot will be making an appearance at the Bandon Brigid’s Festival where she will be supporting Susan O’Neill on the opening night of the festival at Bandon Town Hall on Friday January 30th.
Her sound is deeply rooted in folk traditions yet guided by a distinctive personal voice. Her songs are shaped by fingerpicked guitar and rich expressive vocals. She has released two studio albums, ‘Glenaphuca’ in 2021 and ‘HOME’ in 2023, both of which received strong support across a number of radio stations such as BBC Radio, RTÉ Radio and Folk Radio UK. Lewis is currently developing a album of traditional folk songs titled ‘The Old Bog Road’ continuing her role as both a songwriter and a thoughtful custodian of traditional material.
