A DRINAGH man was given a suspended prison sentence for the sale and supply of cannabis following a search at his mobile home.
Thomas Young (27), of Derryclough Lower, Drinagh, pleaded guilty at Clonakilty District Court to the possession of drugs for the purpose of sale or supply and two counts of possession.
The court heard that on January 31st 2024, a drugs unit carried out a search at his mobile home and found weighing scales, deal bags and cocaine to the value of €210 along with cannabis worth €352.

Mr Young admitted to gardaí that he was selling the drugs.
The court heard that the accused had one previous conviction for driving under the influence of cannabis dating back to February 2022 when he was fined €100 and disqualified from driving for one year.
Defence solicitor Flor Murphy said Mr Young and two friends would buy and sell drugs from each other.
He added there had been no tick list on his phone to suggest his selling was at a large scale.
Mr Young, who previously worked as a lorry driver and has an agricultural certificate, had not used drugs since his drug driving conviction.
Judge Joanne Carroll sentenced him to three months in prison suspended for 12 months and took into consideration the two possession charges.
