CULLY & Sully have partnered up with FoodCloud, donating the equivalent of 250,000 meals.

FoodCloud is a non-profit organisation founded by Iseult Ward and Aoibheann O’Brien in 2013, tackling food loss and waste by redistributing surplus food to charities and community groups.

In 2024 alone, FoodCloud redistributed the equivalent of 79 million meals across six countries, amounting to 33,230 tonnes of surplus food redirected to communities instead of going to waste.

In Ireland, one in 11 people experience food poverty and at the same time 850,000 tonnes of food is wasted every year.

Those in need are hidden in plain sight within our communities.

Colm O’Sullivan, co-founder of Ireland’s top selling soup brand Cully & Sully said: ‘Good food is going to waste and at the same time people are going without, that doesn’t sit right with us.

‘So, we’ve teamed up with the brilliant folks at FoodCloud to help redistribute 250,000 meal equivalent, making sure surplus food gets to the people who need it most. We’re working together to make sure no good food goes to waste.’

Through innovative solutions and strategic partnerships, FoodCloud redistributes surplus food to communities that need it, in pursuance of its 2030 goal, a more equitable, inclusive and circular food system.

By working with partners like Cully & Sully, FoodCloud helps tackle food poverty and food waste simultaneously.
