Gracie McCarthy’s lone strike was enough to edge Bay Rovers past Riverside Athletic 1-0 in Kealkill.

Beara United got off the mark in the U13 Schoolgirls Premier League following a 3-1 win at home to Castlelack. Isabella Santos scored for the visitors but a Saoirse Farrelly hat-trick earned the Castletownbere club their first three points of the season.

United were quickly back in action, travelling to Clonakilty AFC in the U13 Schoolgirls Shield semi-finals. Goals in either half from Robyn Healy and Lizzie O’Shea cemented a deserved 2-0 Beara win.

Togher Celtic are the early pacesetters atop the U14 Schoolgirls Championship thanks to two wins in their opening two league fixtures.

A 2-0 victory at home to Bay Rovers saw Togher get their league campaign off to the perfect start. Faye Buston and Nicola Hurley scored in either half.

Last Monday, Celtic travelled to Carbery Factory Park to face Riverside Athletic and took control early on.

Faye Buston, Sophie Buston and Nicola Hurley strikes helped Togher build a deserved 3-0 lead. Ella Murray hit back for Riverside just before the break before a converted Faye Buston penalty restored the visitors’ three-goal advantage. A late Zara Joaquim effort couldn’t prevent a 4-2 Riverside Athletic defeat.
