JOHN Hodnett has signed a new two-year contract extension with Munster, to keep him at the province until 2028.
Munster Rugby and the IRFU announced Hodnett’s new deal on Wednesday, tying the Rosscarbery man to his home province for another two years.
To date, the all-action flanker has scored 16 tries in 87 Munster appearances, including the match-winning try in his player-of-the-match performance in the 2023 URC Grand Final against Stormers in Cape Town.

The former Clonakilty RFC player made his Munster senior debut in 2020, his Champions Cup debut the following year, and was also called up to Andy Farrell’s Ireland squad last season.
Injuries have limited his impact so far this term but Hodnett has scored one try in six appearances and is expected to return from a thumb injury shortly.
