JOHN Cleary has named a surprisingly strong starting 15 for Cork's McGrath Cup opener against Tipperary for this evening's clash in Cappawhite (7pm).
Ten players that played a part in their All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final loss in 2025 against Dublin start with Patrick Doyle, Seán Meehan, Kevin O'Donovan, Rory Maguire, Ruairí Deane being the exceptions.
Bantry Blues man Deane captains the team that also has a strong bench with Brian Hurley, Steven Sherlock, Matty Taylor and Daniel O'Mahony being the big hitters.
