THE Skibbereen mom who was conned out of two Euro 2016 tickets and over €400 is ‘thrilled’ that her and her four kids have received FIVE tickets for the Republic of Ireland’s second group game against Belgium in Bordeaux on Saturday, June 18th.

Emily O’Sullivan cruelly lost out on two tickets for the Ireland v Belgium game for her sons, Darah and Byron, when she was victim of an online scam, but thanks to Newstalk’s Pat Kenny Show, she and her four kids, including daughters Heidi and Isabella, will now all be cheering on the Boys in Green.

‘It’s surreal, we’re delighted,’ Emily told The Southern Star.

‘I was on the Pat Kenny show on Wednesday morning and told him our story about how we were conned out of the tickets, and I got a call on Wednesday evening to say that they had a surprise for me but not to say anything to the kids.

‘On Thursday morning, before I went to work, I was at home with the kids when the call came through from Pat Kenny’s show on Newstalk. I was told they had two tickets for the boys, and when they spoke to Byron on the phone they said “and your mom is going and your sisters are going!” It was amazing, incredible, we got five tickets. I don’t know who donated them as they want to remain anonymous, but we’re so grateful for their generosity.’

Emily and her family are heading off on the adventure of a lifetime on June 14th when they will spend ten days in France, and now all five will be in Bordeaux to cheer on Ireland!
