SEÁN Daly’s transfer from Randal Óg to St Finbarr’s headlines the busy club transfer market in West Cork ahead of the 2026 season.
Daly, who was part of the Cork U20 All-Ireland winning panel in 2023 and has played Fitzgibbon for UCC in the past few years, is set to play hurling with the Togher club this season.
This was one of a number of club transfers that are in line to be given the green light at this Tuesday (17th) night’s monthly board meeting at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The good news for Randals is that Daly – now living in the city – will still line out for his home club’s football team.
While Randals have lost one player, they have gained three as Charlie Thompson, Donnachadh Hennigan and Donnacha Carroll (football) will all transfer in from Dohenys.
Meanwhile, it’s also set to be confirmed that former Cork footballers Colm and Kevin O’Driscoll will make the switch from Tadgh MacCarthaigh to O’Donovan Rossa and Clonakilty respectively. Youngest brother Brian O’Driscoll previously transferred to Carrigaline in 2024.
Former Cork footballer Kevin O'Driscoll will transfer to Clonakilty.
There was more good news for All-Ireland junior hurling champions Kilbrittain as two of their hurling heroes, Luke Griffin and Conor Ustianowski, are transferring back to their home club in football after briefly spending time with Clonakilty. Both players had lined out in the full-forward line for Clon’s Division 1 league final defeat to St Finbarr’s back last July.
Also, Padraig Healy, younger brother of West Cork athletics legend Phil, will move from St Oliver Plunkett’s to Cill na Martra. Healy has previously impressed for the Carbery footballers, was in MTU Cork’s Sigerson Cup squad and will be hoping to make an impression for the Muskerry club at senior A level.
In other transfers, Colm O’Sullivan will join Newcestown from Cloyne, while Dohenys have a player joining for each code as Jack Crowley (hurling) and Kian O’Sullivan (football) move from Cloughduv and Castlehaven respectively.
Eoghan O’Donoghue will make the switch to Glengarriff from Bantry Blues while other transfers include Liam Daly (Kilmeen to St Finbarr’s), Michael Power (Valley Rovers to Bandon), Padraig O’Neill (O’Donovan Rossa to Fermoy, football) and Patrick Moloney (Barryroe to Inniscarra).
