ONLY two months after retiring from inter-county hurling, Patrick Horgan has landed a new selector role with the Cork U20 hurlers.
The Glen Rovers legend will join Noel Furlong's backroom team as he replaces the outgoing Vincent Hurley of Courcey Rovers for the 2026 season.
Coach Dónal Óg Cusack (Cloyne) and further selectors Tadhg Óg Murphy (Sarsfields) and Seán Guiheen (Na Piarsaigh) make up a star studded line-up as they remain involved.

This is a big coup for the U20s who were All-Ireland champions as recently as 2023 and will hope to replicate that feat with Horgan coming in.
In other Cork underage news, minor football boss Keith Ricken has added Vincent Cronin of Bride Rovers to his management team as selector.
The minors reached the All-Ireland quarter-finals in 2025, losing to Tyrone, and will be looking to improve on that performance.
