New bowling book set to be a big hit for sports fans
FOR generations West Cork has been acknowledged as the ‘cradle of bowling’ and so it’s fitting that a new biography on the life and times of one bowling’s greatest ever exponents, Cork man Mick Barry, will be launched in Skibbereen next week.
Mick Barry: The Bowlplayer of All time, written by local author Noel Magnier will be officially launched at ‘The Corner Bar, (next door to The Southern Star offices), Ilen Street, Skibbereen next Wednesday, October 19th at 7.45pm. Finger food will be served and the author will be signing copies of the book. All are welcome.
Noel Magnier will also be signing copies of the book this weekend at the King and Queen of the Roads’ festival in Ballincurrig and there will another book signing event on Friday, October 21st at Liam Russell’s book shop on Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork.
