FOR the second time in three years, Kilbrittain’s Jamie Wall has led Mary Immaculate College Limerick to the Fitzgibbon Cup final.
They will face another Limerick college, UL, in the Croke Park decider this Friday (7.35pm throw-in), with the game being shown live on TG4.
Mary I saw off DCU after extra time in the semi-final, winning 0-31 to 2-16.

Wall, along with coach Podge Collins from Clare, were in charge the last time Mary I won the Fitzgibbon in 2024. Perhaps it’s an omen, but they defeated UL in that season’s final.
West Cork man Wall is looking to win his third Fitzgibbon Cup as Mary I boss, having also won the competition in 2017.
He is also maintaining his family’s recent tradition of making Croke Park their second home – his brother Philip and sister Kate have both played there this year, the former as captain of the Kilbrittain junior hurling team that won the All-Ireland, the latter with St Finbarr’s in the All-Ireland senior club decider.
